Substation Automation: The article, "Massive Automation Initiative - LADWP upgrades energy control system and 179 substations to improve data flow and usage across the enterprise", was published in the November 2006 issue of Transmission & Distribution World Magazine. Authored by Jack Waizenegger of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and Joe Sottnik, Lee Melville and Gene Grace of Enspiria Solutions, the article describes the ambitious substation automation project LADWP is undertaking as part of its larger Energy Control System Upgrade (ECSU) program.
